NEXT STOP - GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA

Our discovery of Australia continues with our next stop - Gold Coast, Australia. Many think it is a region of the continent but in fact it is a city's name, not a region.

Our flight was uneventful with the blue skies and tail winds we were guaranteed. Nothing like hitting 502 knots in the CJ3 - thank you 60 knots tail winds!

Our arrival was a breeze and in no time we were traversing the roads to our ritzy hotel - The Palazzo Versace, a much different hotel than Lizard Island.

One thing to note - Gold Coast loves their stop lights - every few feet there is a stop light; there must have been at least 60 on our way to the hotel! Patience is a virtue.

I know of another Sunshine State....

We enjoyed dinner in a private room - a 6 course meal full of delicacies!
