RESOLVING CAIRNS
While everyone was relaxing on Lizard Island, I focused on a resolution to the situation in Cairns.
Our handlers, Hawker Pacific, were a great help with everything - pointing us in the right direction with the correct people to contact.
I started the process of importing the aircrafts into Australia after receiving confirmation that payment of a temporary GST tax would not be required. This necessity of this payment to travel around Australia would have made us turn right back around!
The paperwork has been processed and the day prior to our return from Lizard Island, we receive the actual documents providing the details and approval to navigate the continent of Australia.
Never the less, I am baffled at the experience and by the happenings of such a requirement.

Thankfully we were able to access the aircraft to reload all unnecessary items back into the plane prior to our flight to Lizard Island. With a baggage limit on our charter flights, we would have never made it!
