BROOME - OUR LAST STOP IN AUSTRALIA

Our next flight is our final domestic leg in Australia and will be our ultimate destination on this vast continent. We are flying to Broome, located in the north west of Australia.

The flight was just how we like it...uneventful. The arrival was a bit unique as the local controllers are not used to having 5 aircraft arrive at the same time. Why only 5 instead of the usual 6? The Citation Mustang left the group in Adelaide for an independent discovery of Perth, Australia. They are rejoining us tomorrow.

Back to the approach - the controllers told us to orbit twice on the left downwind, then move over the field to the right downwind prior to extending in to call our base. It was a long process but we made it.

The airport was ready for us. We had a fast transfer to the Cable Beach Resort & Spa, our home for the next 3 nights. On the program is a sunset camel trek on famous Cable Beach, a discovery of Broome, it's pearl industry and a hovercraft ride to tour the tidal flat lands of the area and see dinosaur foot prints from the past.
