ONE & ONLY - MALDIVES
We've arrived in Male, Maldives, located in the Indian Ocean surrounded by nothing but water. These natural beauties offered great views on approach and landing. Of course, some of the islands have been expanded to accommodate human necessities, including an airport/runway.
A slight delay for fuel on arrival since the only over-wing fuel truck was busy with fueling the sea planes, but eventually it was our turn and the truck came over with two hoses - making for a speedy fueling once they came!
Clearing customs was a breeze and in no time we were swept up by the wonderful staff of the One & Only Reethi Rah for our boat transfer to its private island. Each hotel in the Maldives has its' own island with the exception of Male, the capital.
